Undoubtedly the most
comprehensive bookseller on the net is Amazon.
This is often the place to find information and reviews of a book
even if you then go on and buy it elsewhere. The remaining retailers
tend to fall into three categories :-
- Traditional stores; among
the best being Blackwells
(free postage), Student
Bookworld (cheap prices for study-oriented titles), and WHSmith
(sometimes have good deals)
- Book clubs; where cheap prices
come at the expense of some (often very small) commitment. Worth considering
are eTSP
(need to stay a member for a year), and bol.com
(need to buy one other title)
- Second hand stores; Amazon
offer a 2nd hand service, or you can even bid for books on eBay
